With my $25.00 donation to #Movember, I am proud to declare this day, November 5th 2011, Mustachio Day! This donation also kicks off my 2nd year of growing a stache’ for charity.

Last year, with the help of many generous donations from people like you, coupled with the steady follicle growth on my upper lip, I raised over $1000.00 for men’s health. The specific organizations that benefited from last year’s Movember campaign, (who are also a partner this year too), were the Movember Foundation, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, and LIVESTRONG.

What’s new with this year’s Movember push? 

This year I joined forces with Movember and raised $1047.00 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG. I did this by growing a moustache.

Okay, one more time. Probably one more after this, too, since I have a star-studded moustachioed gala to attend on Friday night. All month, I’ve wondered, is it moustache or mustache? Anyway, here I am this morning/mourning:

Movember Mondays!

I love taking pictures of my moustache! I also love the fact I have rasied $547.00 that will go towards the Prostate Cancer Foundation and to LIVESTRONG.

Since I work for an AWESOME company, they are going to match up to $500.00 of what I raise. That’s right people, you’re reading about a guy who’s raised $1,047.00 so far AND the month ain’t even over yet!

I’m raising money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong by growing a moustache this Movember. This is my first moustache, people! I’m excited to be a part of this year’s opportunity to look like a star of films featuring adults… 

My mananger and director of PR recommended I do this Movember podcast with Tuckerblogs.com. We’ll be talking about our first week of moustache growth, and what we’re doing to promote our participation in Movember. After the podcast it’s off  to a party in the hills. I’ll be raising awareness for Movember there too.

As many of you already know, I am particiapating in Movember, a month long tribute to the moustache. Behind this celebration is another cause close to my heart. Its raising awareness for prostate cancer. This is our breast cancer, guys.

I just got back from the polling place in my neighborhood and I am glad to say my voice has been heard! Not only did I vote but I did it with little bit of dirt on my upper lip too.

Day 2 of Moustachegate didn’t have any crazy surpises. I did however call an audible in the voting booth.

Commitment. Leadership. Excellence. These are just a few words that come to mind when I think about thejoemoran. Today we’re gonna add another - Moustache.
